Hi, I am having my wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue. The ceremony will be outside with the reception indoors all on the same grounds. I was wondering if I should rent double the chairs or save money and have the chairs tranfered from outside to inside?
I would have the chairs moved inside. Will there be a space for a cocktail hour so that someone has time to set up? If so, I see no need to waste money on chairs that will only be used for 30 to 60 minutes.
normally your reception cite will have indoor chairs and outdoor chairs.. if they are making you rent chairs than thats crazy... but i would save money and just transfer your chairs... it will save you TONS!
i think of the sole way it would be cheesy is that in the event that they are waiting on the chairs for the cocktail hour to take a seat backtrack and as long as you have them start off it ideal away as every person is status around hugging and congratulating you in between you should be positive. I desire i ought to get those chairs for mine yet we'd be spending only approximately $3000 in chairs! i won't be able to convey myself to spend over 0.5 of what i'm spending on foodstuff for chairs lol yet sure i'd pass them to save money. human beings understand that style of difficulty and your feeding them for unfastened so that they might desire to not care. lol.
you'll have to ask the venue if they will supply people to move the chairs. they may charge an extra fee for that, same as if you just rented more chairs for outside! who knows! venues are tricky like that. if you're having a cocktail hour after the ceremony, then there will be time to have the chairs moved. but if the reception starts right after the ceremony, then the guests will get to the reception hall and not have anywhere to sit for a few minutes while the chairs are moved. weird. you can't have guests moving their own chairs, that would be totally awkward.
