Question:

Chair Massagers?

I was at Bed Bath and Beyond, and my husband and I had been up running errands ALL day. At the time I was 28 weeks along and TIRED! They had one of those displays with all the chair back massagers. So I was sitting in one of the chairs and I had it rubbing my back. A man walked by, asked if I am pregnant and then told me that I am not supposed to be sitting in those chairs. Is that true? Does it cause any harm to the baby? Or myself?

Answer:

all i know is that if you read the instructions it say that if you are pregnant not to use it, also you are not supposed to get a professional massage either, but im not sure why. anyway i get massages from my husband all the time and me and my baby are ok
How would it harm you or the baby? It would be no different than using a hand massager or getting a back rub from your hubby..............#1 pet peeve about pregnancy - UNWANTED advice.........I don't there's any evidence to suggest getting a back rub regardless of the form - will harm you or your child.
I think it depends on where it is massaging and how deep. When pregnant, you should only get prenatal massages, not just any kind. However, I seriously doubt a chair would go deep enough to cause any problems. They say that there are certain points on the body that can cause miscarriage or pre-term labor, that's why you should only get prenatal massages. I had one at 14 weeks and it was great!
easily vibrate, or moving the tissue in around waves can deliver back the pliability on your pores and skin. ((: relaxing fact, suitable? it fairly is why once you get an entire facial, or products used to deliver back elasticity, firmness, you utilize a vibration of around or in the present day strains around the face in factors.
Um...no. I would've told the guy to shove off until he knew what it felt like to be pregnant.
