Question:

Changing water pump in my house, piping much different than all videos and pictures I am seeing, help?

The water heater we have needs replacing and this is my first water heater replacement. The current water heater was installed in the house in 2001.Lasted 10 years. The piping has the hot currently in the side of the WH.The cold comes in at the very bottom. Conveniently with no cut off valve so we could keep using cold water. All the pictures and videos of installs have the piping coming from the top or the side and the top, Is mine Jerry rigged or what? The leaking originated on the WH we have now where i have seen piping on other 50 gallon tanks.

Answer:

The picture is pretty clear. It's all cut wood and stock hardware. Just be aware that the can platforms must pivot. The dimensions aren't critical, just eyeball em'.
As you have found out, not everything on the internet is as it is advertised. That program is malware disguising itself as something usefull. Yes those tools work, but you've probably been duped into other things too. I'd back up my data and do an OS reinstall. Good luck!
use chewing gum. get bubble gum, chew it up and stuff a piece in the lock part of it.
