Question:

Check charging system?

Hello , i have a 2005 mustang gt STANDARD, and while i was learning on it the battery light came up. I popped open the hood and realized that the hooks on the battery some what look melted, yeah i stalled it alot i looked like i was stalling it like a bronco, anyways the battery light came up, and the cars starts up regularly has never died on me , i have never had to give it current, it has somewhat crank a bit when i turned off the car and left the radio on for a bit, but nothing serious, is a bad alternator , bad battery or those hooks that melted?? I seriously done f*cked up on stalling it but do you guys have any idea what that check charging system means ? Thanks!!

Answer:

Repair the battery cable clamps and make sure the ground cable isn't loose where it bolts to the motor. Then go to an auto parts store and have the battery and charging system tested. They do that as a free service.
