i was diving back from a friends house and i ran out of gas. i was rly mad cuz i had to b home for dinner and my mom gets real mad when i late. also my cell fone was out. anyway i couldnt help myself and i statred kicking the frotn of the car real hard a lot. sum1 came down the road and gave me gas and when i turned on the car the check engine light came on. also it says reduced power wen i drove back. is it cuz it knew i was almost out of gas and the car knew it had to conserve gas?

I'm sure the car had no idea it needed to save any gas. Probably something in the gas has fouled something. You might try running some Berryman's B-12 through it. It can't hurt anything. I don't know what area of the country you are in, but Auto Zone here in Texas offers free code reading when a check engine light comes on. I guess they hope you will buy something while you are there. Anyway, it's a nice free service. I would suggest you try and time it so they are not really busy with a lot of customers to get good personable help. Good Luck!
1- to me you sound like a complete jack ***, my deep love for mercedes benz helps the fact that i would dislike you #2- wtf #3- mercedes check engine lights come on for a number of different reasons, gas cap might not be tight enough, certain electronics arent functioning properly, yes mercedes benz has a vast, genius computer system that will asist you as much as it can
