Does anyone know what the engine block would weigh on a Chrysler 2.7? With pistons and crank flex plate and torque converter? The engine block is locked up and I need to replace it but do not have a hoist or cherry picker I do have friends that can help lift it out or slide it under car
Good afternoon, i was reading about your engine and its easier to remove your engine from above... the weight would be around the 500 pounds with torque converter and all the accessories, i is very difficult for you guys to pull out even though you have friends you need to have the engine hoisted while your lifting to remove hoses, wire's that grounded and its step by step process to remove it. i highly suggest that you purchase an chain block, now harbor freight sells chain blocks cheap you might want to buy one and hang it on a tree. I have done that myself back when i was young, well I'm still young, but well i hope your careful and I'm not responsible if you hurt yourself. Good luck. :)
rent a cherry picker .its prity cheep and will make life a lot easer
