We used copper sulfate in school about a year ago, and I decided I wanted to throw some into a fire like we did in school. Does anyone know if the copper sulfate from hardware stores would be the same or if it would be dangerous? Please don't answer unless you've done it or have really good knowledge in chemistry. Thanks!
The copper sulfate sold in the hardware is the almost the same stuff used in chemistry labs. The hardward store cooper sulfate will not be considered reagent grade - and may have some impurties. The hardware store sell it as a a fungicide used to control bacterial and fungal diseases in yards and gardans. So, to answer your question, the copper sulfate form the hardward store will react the same. So, be sure to follow the same safety precautions.
There are enzyme & microbe based treatments for septic structures which would be particularly helpful on fat, proteins & carbohydrate based obstructions, in spite of the fact that if of direction the by using way of-merchandise actually feed the roots of residing flowers.Copper Sulfate will kill living flowers and is no longer horribly corrosive or poisonous.
