I want to know the correct tyre pressure for my Hyundai Verna with Tyre size 175/70/R14 and it also has alloy rims. I have heard that one needs to increase the Tyre pressure after installing alloy wheels. Is that true ?
The correct pressure is 37 psi (2.5 barr), which should be written on the side of the tire. www.firestone .za/content.asp?i. As for increasing the pressure for the alloy wheels - I've heard dissenting opinions. (because the correct pressure depends on the exact tire, and not on the vehicle itself, it wouldn't make sense to have it on the door)

Car companies don't like to run the tires at the recommended pressure on the tire because they want it to ride nice.If you want to get good life out of the tire use the rating on the tire. The tire manufactures put that pressure rating on there for a reason.
