Question:

Couldn't cars be much safer so 40,000 deaths a year can be prevented? What about?

with inflatable bumpers on all sides? Seat belts could be like those race car ones. And we could wear helmets and soft padded suits/fireproof. 40,000 americans die a year from car accidentsabout the same that died from all ten years of the vietnam war. Why aren't people super alert and proactive about this like bird flu or aids? I mean we don't have to take all the above measures, but I would think people would cherish life more and do SOMETHING drastic about it I mean someone you love taking that kind of risk every day. doesn't that pull your heart strings a little? I think all of us have had some experience or known someone with injuries with cars. It's ridiculously risky isnt it?

Answer:

It is habitable, but may have several building code violations
Who cares about legality? It's risky not to have more smoke detectors in such a large apartment.
Gravity will only affect people, places, things, and their locations, but not time itself.
where i live it is not required for them to provide these things if you feel it is necessary then you are required to purchase it some states are different and require some of these items but in most states that i know of if you want a fire alarm or extinguisher you have to buy it and fire escapes are not an obligation
Building codes are local and not national in scope.
