Question:

CRICKET BREEDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

hello.....what is the best way to kepp the containers the females will lay their eggs in warm and to keep the temp. in the container warm???....also any tips on successful, cheap breeding much appreciated!!!!!

Answer:

back in the 50's it was used for home insulation--as long as the stuff was left undisturbed it is fine--if it is crushed it will release the asbestos--your kid was barely exposed to it-so no worries. I have about 8 inches of it in my attic crawlspace right now--no problems!
you have to have worked in an industry that sprayed asbestos insulation........ nstruction, shipyards..and worked w/o a mask and smoked unfiltered cigarettes for 15 years to get asbestosis. Your kids are fine.
That DUST is not vermiculite. Anyone claiming vermiculite CAN contain asbestos doesn't know what EITHER vermiculite OR asbestos is. You didn't say how old the structure is, but if it was built after 1990, it NEVER contained asbestos.
although the vermiculite may have contained asbestos it is unlikely any significant amount of friable asbestos was continuously airborne within the room
There is no point in worrying of getting upset. It was probably packing material that came with the ceiling fan when it was new.
