Yes part his hair in the three areas like death the kidMake sure the lines are all evenNow, wrap aluminum foil around that blonde hair of his right down to the root to protect it from the black die (use Dark Brown if he approves) Mix the dark color ( ex2 oz black plus 2 oz peroxide) (always use even amounts of both peroxide and color) I suggest using a 10% peroxide less damaging Get a cream based color ( it will not drip like a liquid) a mixing bowl and a highlighting bruchMix color with peroxide and use a highlighting brush to apply the dark around the areas where the foil isBe careful though you dont want the black to bleed into the blond hair where the foil is Good luck and have fun PS make sure he keeps his eyes closeYou do not want that stuff dripping in his faceAlso, if it does happen, put milk on a towel and let him wash his eyes with thatIt does stop the sting.
