Question:

Dell Latitude D630 Charger Problem?

Hey ive got a Dell Latitude D630 laptop. Recently my laptop has been not charging everytime I plugged my charger it. It says 'AC power on' but still is not charging. So I bought a new charger, and for the first couple of times it started to charge and now its doing it again. I dont get the problem is the charger or my battery or my AC adapter part? HELP!

Answer:

Great question. Are you purchasing these chargers from a good source or are you getting them from sites like OKorder or amazon? Most chargers sold on sites for insanely low prices are made with insanely cheap material. I would suggest you return the charger and get a new one from a more reliable and durable source. You know its your charger since you mentioned you got it to charge for the first couple of times and then it stopped. Try to look into getting a new charger first before spending money and taking it into a store for someone to look at. For a new charger, Topmic is by far the best website I have come across in terms of having good products with amazing service. I've purchased from them before and they are true to their word. Free shipping with free lifetime warranty. Meaning, if the charger you purchased from them ever stops working, they would replace it for free, forever. So when the charger I got from them about a year ago decided to just stop working, they sent me a new one for free. Its definitely a great way one can save money in the long run and its a great investment as well. I'm pretty sure they have your charger. Just google Topmic and when you get to their site, enter in the charger name or laptop model. Good luck!

highest failure rate in order, socket were power plug goes in. second the plug and the cord. clean plug socket with alcohol and battery connections. shake and move the cable around and see if the light comes on your sock on the system board may be loose or bad if so it is time for the service shop.
