I just gone looking for my charger and realised my phone charger is still plugged into wall at work! I am not back in until wed and can ring tomorrow- but am really worried now it will overheat overnight.am i over worrying and is there a mechanism that will eventually make the charger cool down? Am so worried.
No worries. I leave my charger plugged in all the time and it doesn't do anything unless I plug the phone into. If the phone finishes charging, it simply stop drawing electricity from the charger. The only way these things are going to overheat is if you put it in an oven or set it on fire.
It will be fine. Mine has been plugged in 24/7 for years.
Don't worry. There is no more risk of fire than leaving anything else plugged in.
