Describe one chemical property of Group 1 metals that result from the atom of each metal having only one valence electron.
Alt. Metal is more of what you'd call Hard Rock or Alt+. Rock and can sometimes refer to Nu Metal, Industrial Metal or Victorian Industrial Metal, which is like Gothic music that you can dance to (i.e. Emily Autumn, Zombie Girl). As for the Japanese Death Metal, some metal is different from country to country due to it's cultural impact. Ever heard of Euro Dance or Euro Disco? They're the same thing from the states, but have a Euro twist either in the lyrics or it's sound. Pop Metal is another name for Alt Metal, which again is made up mostly of Hard Rock or Fusion Groups. Traditional Heavy Metal is what we find in the early foundations of metal and it's rare we find it in this day and age. Norwegian Black Metal is black metal from Norway. Just like their are cultural differences with those other bands, the same can be seen with Norwegian Black Metal, which is where most of the religious black metal comes from. Blackcore is another term for Doom Metal. Doomcore is another term for BrutalDeath Metal.
Anything with core on the end derives from hardcore, and can thus be considered a subgenre of punk or separatete to both (lying in between the two). Regional subgenres relate to varios styles, as metal often pops up in regional scenes - for example a german style power metal band emphasises guitars, whereas an italian styled on emphasises keyboards. Also blackcore and doomcore were proposed as jokes, with the spate of shoddy metalcore/deathcore bands. Also you missed out technical death metal.
Love metal is not a genre Anything with Christian in it is not a genre, Christianity is a religion and has nothing to do with the style of the music Gothic thrash? I'd like to hear that. Same with gothic death, there exists fusions between the genres, but they shouldn't be considered own genres. Holy unblack metal: same as Christian metal; has to do with lyrical themes, not musical style What exactly is porncore? As for genres such as Blackened Deathly Thrash Metal and Industrial Gothic Death Metal, these are definitely not genres of their own, but rather fusions of different genres. The NWOBHM isn't exactly a genre, but a wave of music. New wave metal might refer to this, or bands from the NWOAHM (New wave of American heavy metal) Moshcore is a genre, better known as metallic hardcore. Ok, killcore maybe isn't. Alternative metal is, of course, a genre, but it's kinda weird because it just includes bands that don't fit in anywhere else. Pop metal=glam metal=hair metal. Traditional heavy metal refers to metal bands like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, and also NWOBHM bands. Kinda means the same as just heavy metal, except it excludes newer bands playing in the same style. Norwegian black metal is the kind of black metal originated in Norway in the late 80's, but is now played by bands in many different countries, so calling Norwegian black metal a genre would be a little wrong. There is something called blackcore, but it's just a fusion between black metal and metalcore or hardcore. Same with doomcore and doom metal. Btw you forgot some pretty important genres, like folk metal, symphonic metal, groove metal and power metal. MAIN METAL GENRES Traditional/heavy metal Glam metal Thrash metal Power metal Progressive metal Gothic metal Symphonic metal Death metal Black metal Folk/viking metal Doom metal Groove metal Metalcore Nu/alt metal Grindcore The last three are often disputed in being metal or not.
