Answer:

It is ok to leave your clothes out it will not hurt them or you. The only thing you might want to do is wash your cloths if they smell to bad after they have aired out. Make sure you have your electrical items unplugged for safety and turn off any pilot light for water heaters or what not. Leaving them on if the Gas gets to them can cause a fire.
Some people are being over-cautious here. In schools a socket circuit in a computer suite can have dozens of sockets on because each computer only uses 100 watts. In uk a single 13 amp plug can carry just over 3000 watts, or 13 amps. That means that you can connect an extension lead, and another extension lead to that one. As long as the total watts of all the appliances is 3000 or less AND each lead is rated at 13 amps, it is OK. But is it bad practice to have lots of trailing leads, and it is also bad to power a heavy duty appliance like a 3,000 watt fan heater through an extension lead, because this is the limit of the 13amp plug and the extension lead connections will get hot, extension leads are not as good as a house socket. Most stuff like computers and peripherals, radios, PS3 etc are very low power, the main thing is to keep the leads tidy if using extension leads, and be sure to fuse the plugs properly, 3A up to 500watts, 5A for 500- to 1200 watts, 13A anything over 1200 watts and you will stay safe. Beware of cheap extension leads, they may only be rated to carry 5 or 10 amps, which IMO shouldn't be allowed, someone might power a 13 amp appliance using a 5 amp lead. Avoid this risk by buying ONLY 13 amp rated leads.
The chemicals used in those are very safe, there is no problem with exposed clothing. I just would not eat any food that was exposed to a flea bomb.
