Question:

Diabetics and electric blankets is it a good.?

combination? Diabetics are always cold, and my daughter was thinking of getting an electric blanket or a blanket warmer for my mother in law (she's diabetic)Are there any other suggestions that would help keep a diabetic warm without risking harm?

Answer:

Sweet potatoes help you lose weight
energize plain tasting proteins such as eggs or chicken with metabolism boosting chili pepper sauce
Don t go back to old eating habits even after you lose weight
I'd suggest excercising alot and not eating junk foodI lost 10 pounds from dat and i didnt eat within 3 hours of sleeping and i avoided carbs or something that started wit a c
The trouble with electric blankets and diabetes is that the diabetic often suffers from numbness in the feet caused by Diabetic Neuropathy (dead nerves caused by too much blood sugar)Since they can't FEEL anything, it is easy to get burned by the electric blanketDiabetics also do not heal easily, so if they get burns or cuts on their feet, those could get infected, and require amputationNote that while many diabetics FEEL cold, the fact is their body and skin temperature is normalthe BEST thing to keep warm is a big ol' fuzzy blanket!
