Question:

Different tire sizes for motorcycles over the years?

I need to know how motorcycles tires have changed over the years. like what size they started out with and how they more or less evolved into the size and width they are now. It would more or less be a history of tire sizes and width. I can‘t find anything on it but i thought that maybe there would be someone out there that know about motorcycles better then i do that could help me. I would need to know the size and width for every change that they have made on the tires on motorcycles and what year those changes came around. thank you.

Answer:

Measure the wipers you have already and buy the same size at the store.
The rims and tires from the 06 will are compatible But will throw your pace off via -one million.32 (slower). however you have got to use the 06 aveo tires and rims !!!!!!!!!!!!! Know one is studying your submit. If they might they might see 185 fifty five 15 tires+rims.
Different motorcycles come with different-sized tires. There really isn't any standardization overall. The only exception to this is that most super-sport bikes are now using 17 wheels and the tires are usually (NOT always!) 180/55 rear and 120/70 front. In the mid- to late-1980s,many bikes used 16 front wheels to make them more nimble. Before that, they mainly had 18 or 19 fronts. Go to the 1970s or earlier, and there was no real standard sizing at all. All the above applies to standard and sporting bikes. Cruisers, on the other hand, have tires chosen more on the basis of visual effect than function. Sizes have been all over the map over the years. The one obvious trend is that they are currently getting wider and wider all the time. But since this affects handling (in a bad way), this will go out of fashion at some point.
go to the auto store they have books in the wiper section that tell you
