I bought a really simple pattern for a purse because I'm new to sewing, and I've got the pieces cutThe instructions say to fuse the interfacing to the parts it listsI have the purse's outer part, and the lining, but I don't know what interfacing isIt refers to the lining and the outer fabric separately later in the instructions, so apparently I'm missing something? What does it want me to do?
You won't make the stool you're seated on any softer, but if you need to evacuate several times a day, you will be forced to get up and walk more oftenThat will give your posterior a much needed rest from that hard seating surface.
Turn the stool upside down - then you can share can share it with two coworkers

Interfacing Interfacing is an extra layer of fabric that provides shape and support in detail areas of the garmentInterfacing is frequently used in collars, cuffs, lapels, necklines, pockets, waistbands and opening edges Types of Interfacing The two basic types of interfacings are sew-in and fusibleBoth are available in woven, knitted and non woven versions, and in a variety of weights, ranging from heavy to sheer weightThe rule of thumb is that the interfacing should always be slightly lighter in weight than the fashion fabricChoosing between a fusible or a sew-in interfacing is really a matter of personal preferenceIn general, fusibles provide slightly crisper resultsBecause fusibles set the yarns, they’re an excellent choice for fabrics that frayHowever, some fabrics do not react well to fusiblesTheses include metallics, beaded, sequined or re-embroidered fabrics, rayon and acetate velvets, most brocades, fake furs, leather, vinyl and openwork fabrics, such as lace and meshAlways test the fusible interfacing on a scrap of the fashion fabric before you begin to be sure it works and that you like the resultsMost people think of fusibles as easier to use and they are, as long as you take time to follow the manufacturer's fusing directions carefully.
