Question:

Do automotive manufacturers still make manual transmissions?

Do automotive manufacturers still make manual transmissions? Or have they went full retard and only produce automatic transmissions? Automatic transmissions have very low fuel efficiency and low pulling power compared to a manual. The automatic is a convenience and a luxury that not everyone wants, some actually prefer a manual for better fuel economy and pulling power. I know that 99% of ppl are taught how to drive on an automatic which is doing them more harm than good. Once you can drive a manual transmission you can drive just about anything, you‘re not limited like someone that only knows how to drive an automatic.

Answer:

Yes, many manufacturers still make manual transmissions though not always in all models. Particularly in Europe. It's no longer true that automatics have low fuel efficiency or performance. Many sports cars have e.g. 6-speed automatic transmission. Even race cars have semi-automatic now with steering-wheel mounted change paddles that allow faster changes than a stick. I still prefer manual myself, but I've never tried a sport automatic. Electrics and some hybrids don't even need gears, so gears might be disappearing altogether.
This has to be a question in the US! Here in Europe manual transmissions are still very common. We however have a different test and license for a manual to an automatic transmission. The new automatics here are very good on fuel and efficiency. It is the old ones that are not so good. 8 speed autos are now common here.
No or low fluid means when you step on the brake pedal the car no stoppee and you go crash bang boomee
Every year, fewer and fewer models come with manual transmissions. While in the past, manual transmissions were more efficient and allow you to be full control (shifting to keep revs in the proper power band), that is no longer true these days. In fact, many newer automatic transmissions and CVTs are just as, if not more efficient than manual transmissions. Then there are dual-clutch type systems where computers help select gears faster than you can ever shift. Most of these transmissions have manual modes using shifters or paddles. but it's not the same or as much fun. In Europe, many manufacturers still produce manual transmissions because there is still great demand for it. The trend in America has been declining for years. Manufacturers simply don't offer manuals because Americans don't buy them. They also don't want small fuel efficient cars with lower power ratings, no diesels or hatchback styles. So to cater to one of the largest automobile markets in the world (the big-***, lazy, American market) manufacturers specifically build or import mostly large size, sedans, SUV, trucks with automatic transmissions, larger displacement/cylinders with higher HP and torque. It's simply economics. I've only ever driven manuals and I agree, it's the most fun and engaging way to drive. I'll be very sad when you can no longer buy a car with a stick. Save the manuals!
