Okay, here‘s the deal.Turned my windshield wipers on in the snow, and the snow was too much.I heard a loud POP and then they stopped working. The motor clearly works, it taunts me every time I attempt to use them. Should I take this to a mechanic or shop or should I not waste my time? I don‘t care if they can be fixed, they need to be replaced at some point irregardless. If I purchase new ones and replace them, will that be a solution?I just want this to be resolved as quickly as possible.
Thanks for the know-how about RainX. I acquired my automobiles' oil change a few month in the past. They verify for the whole lot, including windsheild wipers. My car is a 2009,and i need to determine the wipers more probably due to the fact that the warmth of the summer down where I are living , makes the wiper blades destroy turbo.
Holy cow what a coincidence, I just had that happen to one of my work vans the other day. Its not the wipers themselves, or the motor, it is where the arms hook together, the piece linking them is made of plastic so that it brakes rather then the motor, if you get under the cowl section and move the arms around I bet you'll see they aren't linked together anymore I managed to click the arms back together like an arm back on to an action figure, but idk if you'll be able to it was kindof a pain.
no on the wipers. If you tried to turn them on they stopped working after that. Means the linkage came apart off the wiper motor. Wiper blades are the least of your worries. Take it to the shop
