Question:

Do lightning rods erode as they are repeatedly struck, and then need to be replaced?

I am not referring to wind or hailstorm damage. Do the conductive rods need to be replaced? Do they get vaporized or partially melted each time they are struck? Thanks for your help.

Is parking at a fire hydrant legal?
It looks like you've been sold a computer with an administrator password which hasn't been supplied to you when you bought the computer. It's usually the responsibility of the seller to provide you with a fully working machine. Without the administrator password it is unlikely you will ever be able to use the machine normally and I would take it back and have them restore the machine at their cost to the way it was at the time you purchased it and provide you with the password.
