Question:

do Motorcycle 330 rear tires make bikes slower?

i was thinking of buying a 330 rear tire for my hayabusa but it think it could lower the speed, reduce it or the tire will rip or sum thing after a limit is crossed is this true?

Answer:

It doesn't matter on a busa. If it was a real performance bike it would but not for riding around showing off for you friends on your ghetto ride.

It won't take away from the top speed but it will effect acceleration and possibly braking distance. It takes more power to turn heavy tire. And there will be more centrifical force that will hold your bike upright (harder to lean). Considering you have a busa you might not notice to much difference.
Unless the bike is primarily used for drag racing and has a stretched swing arm why would you want a 330 tire otherwise? You can bet that the Japanese did their home work on this bike and it will perform best at what it was designed for with the tire that it comes with. It's not too small nor is it too large, I would just leave it alone. I think they have shown they know what they are doing. If looks is what you are after forget it. Does it not look good enough as it is? If you just want a tire like that build a custom chopper, that is where a tire that size belongs.
