Question:

Do suspensions in high school affect your grades?

Will the school let you make up any homework, tests, etc. that you missed while you were suspended?

Answer:

They don't affect it directly, but they do make it difficult to catch up. You should be getting homework from the school, either have someone pick it up or e-mail it to you. With test, they should have a system in place to either have you take it during your suspension, or once you come back. Your best bet is to get in touch with your teachers and ask how they handle it personally. Good luck!
The rules vary. Your best course of action is to contact the guidance counselor to find out what your choices are. It might be teacher option, in which case, some teachers will let you make up the work and others will not. It might be a district-wide rule, in which case all teachers will have to do exactly the same thing. But to find out exactly, you need to talk to someone who absolutely knows what is going to happen, and that's the counselor, the principal, or another school official.
