Don't do it. First of all, proximity alarms are probably illegal, in that they are know to be a public nuisance from all the false alarms. Second is that alarms risk ruining your battery. If your alarm goes off in a parking lot, the police will have it towed, and you will have to pay a bundle to get it back. If it is not in a parking lot and at home, you put the alarm in the garage, not the car.
