Why do y/a users use names like &Lib& &Crusher& ?
The way we call cu pipe is really wrong, a misnomer, it is actually tubing so 1/2 cu would be properly called 5/8 tubing. If you use hydraulic fittings or Swageloks you will know this. we have just gotten so use to calling copper. pipe, that everyone has forgotten what real pipe actually is. when it is said, 1/2 pipe, that is a nominal size (around 1/2). 1/2 pipe is not 1/2 inside or outside, especially when you get into the heavier wall thicknesses, sch 80,sch 120. If you are using sch 120 you actually have to go up a size because the opening is so much smaller than what the named size is.
First, are you sure it's a smoke and not a Carbon Monoxide detector? Because you would be able to smell smoke, but not CO. Second, replace the battery. Don't check it, just put a new one in. If that still doesn't fix, it replace the whole unit as they sometimes go bad, especially if it's older.
