I am looking at buying a truck that has a suspension on it (I dont know if that is what it is called - lift? suspension?). I heard that these have problems and should be a dealbreaker when looking at a car? Any advice?
It is because they can draft each other. You can't go and win at Daytona without one.
To try to make it more exciting. Looked pretty silly to me. Just saying.
all vehicles has a suspension but if your saying it,s been raised then stay away from it ! when it,s raised it puts a strain on the front end and make stuff wear out fast !
Do not buy a lifted truck unless you have enough money for unusual repairs, a lot of times a body lift requires modification of the fan shroud and gets neglected (causing the engine to over heat sporadically), then the extra height puts loads on the frame where they were not intended causing the frame to crack (normally around the steering gear). Just to name a couple of pit falls of a lifted truck.
All trucks have a suspension system of come sort. Your deal-breaker is NOT to buy one that has been lifter or raised. You'll have one nightmare after another keeping constant velosity joints and drive-shaft U-joints on it
