Likes dislikes...what is your opinion
absolutely loving the smooth top. Have the GE with the expandable ring so that it takes the huge soup pots for family meals. Front loader is awesome!!!!!
Growing up at my parents we had a smooth top. I now have an electric burner type top and I wish so very badly that I had a smooth top. Just can't fit it into my budget now. Just as long as you clean the smooth stove top with appropriate cleaners, I would definitely choose smooth over the one I have now. it is soo so so so much easier to clean. I don't have a front loader but I have heard about problems with water sitting and stinking.
Went screaming into the new age and went for a smooth top. My objection was the lack of spot for large soup pots. Found the GE model that accommodated that. Would never ever give it up even if the new one was Free. Ease of cleaning is marvelous Cookware needed changing since flat bottoms are not to be used. No big deal Love my front loader, less soap, less water and so quiet you find yourself returning to make sure you really did hit the Start Button
