Question:

does anyone knows which nuts has the higest dietary fiber?

i am looking to increase fiber in my diet and would like to know the best nuts that are rich in dietary fiber to prevent constipation.

Answer:

The general answer for no metal in a microwave is that the excess heat and charge accumulated by the metal will damage the magnetronTin foil, forks, etchave sharp corners that accumulate charge causing sparks and generating heatYou can also generate sparks using french cut green beans, or sliced carrotsThe latter really surprised my wife when it happenedI was just fascinated.
No, BUTYou will notice that the inside of your microwave is metal but no sparking occurs, this is because only metal objects with sharp edges cause problems ie) if you put a fork in the microwave assuming the fork is rounded everywhere except for the prongs, you would only get sparking at the tips of the prongs due to the microwaves collecting at the prongsThe gold rimmed edges you get on some fancy plates/tea cups is a bad idea tooIf you ONLY put a metal object in your microwave then you can damage the microwave because metals reflect the microwaves and do not absorb them so the microwaves will reflect back into the magnetron (microwave generator) and cause damageFood inside a metal container will not heat because the microwaves cannot penetrate the metal and bounce offBut, you can reheat a mug of tea in the microwave with the spoon still in!!
Microwave Oven Containers
Nuts really aren't known for their fiberAlthough out of all them brazil nuts have the mostYou should also try some high fiber cereal, like Fiber One of All BranAlong with the following foods to get your 25-30 grams of daily fiber Raspberries Blackberries Strawberries Rye Broccoli Green beans Apples with skin Spinach Beet greens Kale Collard Swiss Chard Turnip greens Almonds Brazil nuts Peanuts Walnuts Cherries Brussel Sprouts
The oven is carefully designed to work with the materials it's built withPutting in foil, some metal objects (not all) or some pyro-ceram objects (not all) can cause problems, even as far as burning out the magnetron (which costs more to replace than the whole oven costs)If you don't understand microwave engineering, just accept it on faith that the warnings aren't there just to take up space in the instruction book.
