How can any of you call Green Day, Nirvana, Three days grace metal. Why not give Jethrow Tull another best metal band Grammy. Here are some for you: Origins of Metal: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, Judas Priest Thrash Metal: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Sodom Death Metal: Morbid Angel, Obituary, Napalm Death, Entombed Black Metal: HellHammer, Cradle of Filth, Deathspell Omega Power Metal: Dragonforce, Hammerfall, Raising Force, Dream Theater Hair Metal: Twisted Sister, Warrant, Ratt Do not lump today's EMO bands, Alternative, Poser Punk. the term metal is thrown around by record companies to make you believe that the sad music that they are forcing down your throat is metal, its edgy, hardcore. Its not its mostly crap. In today's terms Avril is punk and so is my grandma.
metal: Bullet for my Vallentine- softer side of metal, great guitar riffs, pretty cool vocalist. As I Lay Dying- KILLER sound, some crazy deep vocals. its brutal. Escape the Fate- try the song, the guillotine, has some singing...check out the breakdown though. Norma Jean- chaotic sound, not sure if its classified as metal, maybe to brutal for metal? haha. awesome though. Grindcore:The number 12 looks Like You- one screamer is crazy high and crazy good, hectic sound. diverse Heavy Heavy Low Low- similar feel, more sinister. The Devil Wears Prada-not grindcore... but UNBELIEVABLE. heavy sound, incorporates keyboard. I'm sorry, but some of the bands people are listing are so far from metal. Like, blatant pop. haha... hope some of these help though edit: OH! SKY EATS AIRPLANE, they are electronicore pretty heavy, but with a computery sound. hot ****.
