Does anyone know if they ever built any buildings in Iowa taller then a corn silo?
I think this may be due to tornadoes. There's no need to go up when so much land is available.

The next most common structure would be the concrete grain elevator that are around 300 feet in height. But for other buildings and structures that are taller: 801 Grand (The Principal Building) 630 ft The Ruan Center 460 ft Des Moines Marriot Hotel 365ft Financial Center 345ft Plaza Building 340ft Hub Tower 325ft EMC Insurance Building 325ft Equitable Building 318ft Large broadcast towers seem to dot the landscape as well with several in the 2000ft tall class located in Alleman (3 towers), Siouxx City, Rowley, Elkhart, Plymouth County, Walker City
