we have a old fire hose wagon with tire size of 6.00 16 on them. We went to move the wagon and the tires blow from sitting to many years. We are unable to find any used tires in that size. Is there any other size for that tire that we could use?
Did you really look at it to see if there's a way to remove it? It had to be installed in the first place. Even in 100 year old doors the lockset is removable. Maybe it's painted over a lot?
Yes, you can and while you are at it why not install a keyless knob. They are not expensive and you never get locked out. They are even lighted after dark and the code can be changed. There are keys that also come with it. Buy it at Lowe's Jo Ann
Yes you can replace door knobs and locks in doors. If you can't figure out how to get the parts out of the door, then call a locksmith or handyman and have someone else do it for you. It shouldn't cost all that much as it's a fairly easy job.
he now realises you and teachers are not gods and is capable of going against your will. he is checking what he can do - action and reaction. crime and punishment. he needs to be allowed to express himself some other way. increase punishments you dish out and try giving him small responsabilitys. introduce an older kid he can look up to. friend/mentor/big brother concept. this may serve to counter any bad influence he may be subject to. are his friends still the same? or are any of the eggs going rotten? carrot + stick + mentor + more freedom/self expression.
No way you should need to replace these doors! The latch/lockset should be removable from the edge of the door - if you even need to do that. Take the knob that's falling off to a good hardware store or door window shop. Could be a simple matter of replacing, or up-sizing, a set-screw, super-cheap. At the most extreme, an entire replica set could be fitted, still without replacing a door. For more motivation, price a new door even near the charm of your old oneWowser.
