Question:

I would like to have my cable box hooked up to 2 tvs. Both tvs are 40ft away. I know this is possible to do.?

I need an ir blaster (emitter) Or i saw a wireless remote extender that i could use for the remote to control the cable box from 40ft away. I can easily get a 40inch hdmi cable for my one tv because the other tv hooks up to component. Is there anything else?

Answer:

at 40 feet you may need an amplifer extender for the HDMI signal as HDMI is only good out to 30 feet.also you may have problems with the componet signal and hum or radio frequencies on the audio if the cables are not shieled properly or of the best quality.I would recommend that you get quality cables from Bluejean cables to assure quality
If you are looking to send the signal to HDMI signal to go to two TVs, you may need an HDMI splitter to send the signal to both. For the IR Blaster, I liked the InjectIR by Sewell.
