Question:

Does anyone make a thermostat with a motion dector?

New house with electric baseboard heat, thought a thermostat with a motion detector could save money and yet keep the bedrooms more comfortable.

Answer:

In CA a smoke alarm is required by law. Who knows what is required in PA?
If the smoke alarm keeps beeping like that, most likely the batterys are bad, and needs to be replaced. If there was a fire in the room setting off the alarm you would smell smoke.
Never heard of such a thing, but I suppose it is possible. Why not call emergency maintenance and ask them?
