All relies on apparatus ratios and horse power should you use the equal auto put a 4 pace trans in it then put a 5 velocity trans in it is going to still come down to gear ratios if each 4th within the four pace and fifth in the 5 velocity are over force then the 1-4 gears in the 5 pace will ordinarily be nearer ratio giving a smother apparatus trade in some cases both 4th and fifth in a 5 speed are over drives giving equal equipment ratios as a 4 pace with one other over drive
Bosch, Milwaukee, Black and Decker, all make good power drills and power screwdrivers. Soda cans are easy to drill but you will need safety glasses and gloves, and be careful holding the can when you drill. power Screwdrivers can also do the job but it's not as easy to get a full selection of drill bits for a power screwdriver as it is for a Drill.
