Question:

Does pressed powder cover up redness on your face?

Does pressed powder cover up redness on your face???How can i cover redness up??

Answer:

I go terribly red very easily and I've tried powder but it doesn't work for me .. I haven't been putting anything on my face to cover the redness but I've been trying to find out how I can stop my redness and how I can become more confident..
No a pressed powder is used after a foundation to make it last all day to cover up redness use a green color correcter and use a concealer over top the green correcter make sure you us the correcter on top of your foundation to prevent it from wearing down over the day. Hope that answers your question
totally. It has to be a heavier powder though, a thin one wont do it. Chanel wouldn't cover that up, but I'm pretty sure MAC Studio Fix would and so would Estee Lauder. Also try using a thin layer of concealer or liquid foundation. just make sure your skin is breathable! that's the most important thing of all
No, pressed powder is only to set your foundation, powder foundation. To cover up redness, you can use a skin-tone colored concealer that is the CLOSEST to your skin, or, if you don't want to look to cakey, and just want to cover up the redness, use the redness corrector. What IS a redness corrector? It's a green little stick, you can find them at drugstores. Sonia Kashuk's [At a local Target] Concealer palette has 2 concealers, 1 redness corrector, and a translucent powder to set it all for $9.99 which is a great deal. N.Y.C makeup at Wal-Mart or Target or CVS has a green stick, Physician's Formula has one, etc. Hope that helps. [:
Well, it really depends on what powder you buy. Something such as MACs Studio Fix Powder would give excellent coverage, because it was meant to be a powder foundation. Something like NARS pressed powder, no, not so much. What i would suggest for concealing redness is a good concealer. I like the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer and the Kevyn Aucion Sensual Skin Enhancer. Don't buy into the products with a green tint, which are meant to neautralize redness. No matter what, it just looks like you have put some kind of green make-up on your face. The only one that really works is the Make-Up Forever HD Foundation Primer in green. Just put on a bit before all your othe makeup, and all your redness is GONE! It's a miricale.
