Question:

Does the human body produce Copper?

I know copper is needed to maintain a healthy body but does it produce a little or is intake of food and such the only way to get copper into the body?

Answer:

Not even the great masters of anabolism (bacteria) can make copper. A rule of thumb: if its an element - it comes from an outside source (ie. a growth medium, food, etc.)
Yeah you can only make copper through nuclear fusion or fission, none of which happen in our body. Must be taken in through our diet. It's only a trace mineral, we need it in small quantities.
Copper is an element and for the purposes of biology as basic a chemical as there is. Therefore you cannot make it and you must take it in through your diet.
