Question:

Does this front motorcycle tire need to be changed? (Pics)?

I need to replace the rear tire, but i‘m not sure the front needs to be changed as well. (click on pics in imgur for high res.) On pic 2 you can see some minor cracking in the grooves.

Answer:

I don't need to see a picture. If you have cracking in the grooves or the sidewalls of a tire(especially the front!) it needs to be replaced.
a tip for checking tread on any tire, rear or front is to look for the tread wear indicator. follow along the sidewall of the tire and you should see a marking that says TWI or it might just be a very small triangle printed there. Wherever the marking is, follow it across the tread of the tire. you should see a small bump somewhere in the treads wherever that marker is, when that bump is even with the top surface of the tire, (when the bump is now flush with the tire and not hidden in the tread) then that means it needs to be replaced. in your case any dry rotted tire should be replaced anyways
Click on what pics, what link? Anyway, if the tread depth anywhere is 2/32 or less, the tire needs replaced. An old fashioned trick is to use a penny, stick the penny into the tread, top of Lincoln's head into the tread, if you see ALL of Lincoln's head, it's time to replace the tire. EDIT:.It is HARD to see the cracks from the pics, but just by looking at the tread depth itselfYES.it is time to replace it!!! NEVER F*K around with your brakes or tires.especially the front tire!!!
If you live in california, AEM Intake would be the wise choice because they are carb exempt. ** But other states that carb exemp don't matter I would reccommed Iceman Intake.
umm don't really focus to much on money you can pay top dollar for a crappy one and pay cheap for the best but yes it will help gas mileage but add a tornado in it as well it allows better suction by making the air go around P but don't really rely on eBay to much but AEM is good
