If you're up to making your own, try an electrical contractor. They almost certainly have conduit (electrical pipe) scrap laying in the back dumpster. Get yourself a 1 diameter piece (the longer the better, if you have a hacksaw at home). Cut a section about 7 or whatever is easy for you to hold. On one end, de-burr the inside diameter, and outside can be filed with a fine tooth metal file or emery cloth to a chisel edge. Use a hammer to drive that edge into the cork, using a board or small sheet of plywood to act as an anvil. (It won't be exactly 1, but pretty close, and it's thin wall to start with.) Being a soft material, it will slowly deform under the blows, so if needed you can add material to the hammer end. This would be for a limited number (1-2 dozen?) of punches, but a long piece can be made into many shorter pieces.
Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your house? If not, get one and check to be sure there isn't excessive carbon monoxide there. It can increase when the heat is on. Also, be sure there isn't a small gas leak anywhere. Sometimes, heating a house makes the air drier, and it's usually drier in the winter anyway. This can contribute to dehydration, and dehydration can cause headaches. So, be sure you're drinking enough water. One last thing is that changes in temperature can cause headaches for some people. Be sure you don't take either prescription or over-the-counter medicines for the headaches more than 2 or 3 days a week because that can make matters worse by causing headaches called rebound headaches. If you don't find a simple solution to this, please check with your doctor.
