The drivers door no longer locks automatically or by the remote. I can hear a 'grind' when I hit it, but it doesn't lock. I looked at the door panel, is this an easy part to remove to get to the mechanism?
What you describe (hitting a stationary object, other than an animal) is covered under collision. Your collision deductible is whatever deductible you chose and discussed with your agent at the time you insured the vehicle. You'll need to read your declarations page to see your collision deductible. Call your agent to submit a claim.
