2007 Honda Fit Sport - Automatic - 36,000. My driver windshield wiper does not work at all. It doesn‘t even move. Passenger wiper works fine. Any ideas as to what it might be? I don‘t want to take it to the dealer and pay an arm and a leg on something that I can possibly fix myself.
Linkage probably fell off inside. Thats what it usually is when only one works. Sometimes the wiper arm itself strips out on the nub that sticks out of the cowl and turns. But thats more rare.

If the other wiper is still moving, that means the motor is still good. So most probably it will be an easy repair. You can fix this yourself as long as you have the tools and a little common sense. As other say, open the hood and try to follow the wiper down to the motor or linkage, see if anything come lose. tighten them and it should work. If you don't have the tools, I will just bring it to any auto part store and ask them what went wrong with the wiper and most of the time they will check it for you for free and if they are nice enough to even install the parts for your for free (providing you buy from them and its a simple repair).
