every time i try to find out about how to handle my car alarm, i get no answers why?
what was the ? o the mercury and the alarm?? oh could be a voltage problem or it needs adusting due to the sensitivity to high, I never new there was a factory alamr on a Mercury are you sure? any car auto alarm shop should help
Well most cars now days have a factory installed security system.and they are suppose to install an aftermarket alarm by-pass module to disengauge the factory system when installing an after market.so it is not normal for both security systems to be active.but in no way is it impossible that someone did an incorrect install on the after market one.if they are both still active it would be a constant conflict of one setting off the other from the designed sensors that activate them under normal sircumstances.also it is possible that the o.e.m. by-pass module may have been installed but is now defective causing mustiple crossed signals from after market alarm to factory installed.sounds like you need some hands on diagnostics for your vehicle to be for sure.
Maybe nobody knows what you are talking about. Try taking the car to a place where they install alarms
