I have a 1996 Geo metro with a terrible exhaust system with lots of holes and shitty muffler and i don‘t want to pay for some one to do it so i want to do it, but what do i need and is it difficult. because i have pipe cutters torches every tool i need just don‘t have the knowledge so can any one help me understand what to do.

Well it isn't a bad idea, just some what worth less. In another sense, you could probably get as much out of buying lemons and opening a cool aid stand. It's worth as much as having a news paper stand. Technically, a person could pick cooper out of the garbage and go sell it to some one that buys cooper. Cooper is every where. You could also sell plumbing hardware, screws, nails etc.
You need a hoist because you got to go under the car. Also you need pipe and a muffler and the exhaust pipe hangers. Me, I just go to Jerry's muffler. I don't want to get dirty anymore messing around.
first you need to get the car on a lift , then you need pipe and a welder (and a welder's mask, and probably welder's gloves) if you are going to cut it off. easier to buy a new exhaust system online and just simply bolting a new one on. will cost though. pretty much all you can do besides sell the car.
