ok so the fire alarms in my house have been going off in the middle of the night. They dont just go off once, but sevral times over and over. We dont know why this is happening. Help?
The flushing of the fire hydrants is to clean the pipes, locate your water meter, [its in the yard ] there should be a pressure regulator after the meter, [coming to your home] turn the nut clock wise, to increase,,pressure you may have to call the water co , if you can,t locate it,
My question is why? Is it really necessary to do a false alarm? What if someone dies of a heart attack because of this? You will forever live with the guilt of killing someone because of your stupid a$$ joke. Get a life and just don't do it.
It really depends on the local jurisdiction code. I'm a fire alarm installer and have dealt with many nuisance false alarms from things that are unpredictable like environmental conditions, however intentional misuse is generally highly frowned upon by the local responding agency. Typically fines exceed 500 dollars if they find who did it, and repeated alarms could eventually result in jail time.
