fire alarm!!!!!!!!!!?

my fire alarm keeps going off and i turned the power off or whatever and it still wont go off its probably the batteries right?

Answer:

I know somebody who had that problem once. Either some smart *** kid squirted the garden hose into the dryer hose. Or something caused condensation, and water built up in the plastic exhaust hose. Once I drained the hose the dryer was back in action.
I was a kid in the 60's. Washing machines used electricity. And LOTS of water. Depending on the model you had, some did not have lids or automatic shut offs. The mangler (what is now called the agitator) was so called because if you stuck your hand in while it was spinning or about to and got caught in the clothes you would be mangled. Seriously. There were also machines that still had manual drains. The machine washed the clothes and you had rollers at the top of the machine. You took the clothes from the washer manually and fed them to the rollers. Once the tub was empty, you had to drain the tub with the hose. Again, lots of injuries from accidents. Again, changes were made. Everything we have now: Automatic shut off when the lid is raised, locking doors, auto drains, are safety features borne out of injuries. And these machines were the work-savers to make women's lives easier.
There were fewer cycles to choose from. Usually only one water level choice. They used more water. On the up side, they lasted a lot longer and were easier to work on.
