If you go this route, be sure to check the camber/alignment - lowering the car will cause the wheels to tilt such that if you were to look head on at the car and look at the wheels, they would tilt at an angle like a coin falling over. Depending on the severity, this can cause you to chew through your tires quickly. That being said, I did do this and it looked good, made the car handle a bit better (mostly due to the lowered center of gravity) and I had no trouble getting over speed bumps - just take care going into driveways!
