Hey, so I‘m looking into buying a motorcycle for the first time. I am about to be 19 and going into my sophomore year of college. I live on campus, but sometimes I return home which is about a 1-1.5 hour ride. My bike would be used mostly for that ride home and such. I want a bike due to how cheap they are and how much more affordable they are with gas, and they are very fun haha.Any advice on a cheap bike model? What should I look for? Etc.Thanks a lot ^_^

Fuel is very cheap on smaller bikes and even larger bikes like a 400 or 600 use s a little less fuel than cars. Tires are more expensive unless you have the smaller bike and as long as it is chain driven then it can last a longer time.
Sooo i dont know what the best answer guy was talking about, but my old 300 ninja, at 75 miles a gallon? I filled it up for like $8-$10 once a month! That thing only required oil and brand new will only run you $5000 or so. If you're looking to save money, thats the one. The only reason you'd spend a ton on tires or parts is if 1 you buy a bike you're not satisfied with in power or look, or 2 you drive like a dumbass. Hell my victory cross country is a 1750cc street machine, and it gets 45 mpg, still way more than your average car. Plus, it holds 5 gallons, takes $10 in premium to fill, and the insurance is only $50 a month and im only 21. Plus, i got free oil changes for life thrown in!!
