Could someone tell if if I translated this paragraph correctly? Does it sound grammatically or stylistically good? The last employee leaving the premises must switch off the light and electrical equipment (except those that must run around the clock).

The last person to leave should turn off the lights and electrical equipment. It is so obvious that electrical items that are on 24 hours a day are excepted that it does not need to be said.

Light should be lights, since I'm sure there are more than one. Run around is somewhat confusing. Because it sounds like the phrasal verb to run around, as in running around the house for example. Maybe say in the parentheses (except those that must remain on continuously) .
Lights (not 'light'); those that have to be left running all the time. Or simply .those which have to be left on all the time. I have avoided run around the clock because running around means a person running on a circular course, as in running around the block. Note that I am British, Americans might have different ideas. They might incorporate 24/7 meaning all the time.
