for all GT full susp. bikes, is the i-drive system reliable? or have any weaknesses?

Answer:

So far I have no complaints. It appears to be capable of handling drops and jumps that I don't have the ability to attempt at the moment. It also feels like it pre-compresses well for nice launches off of ramps and bunny hops over small obstacles. It does a nice job of keeping the tires on the ground during a ride down my favorite hills. It even gives a nice plush ride on the street for some distance riding. I pumped the rear shock to about +25% of my body weight to firm it up, added some semi-slick tires, and ended up with with a comfortable touring ride that climbs like a squirrel.
None! Absolutely NONE! The I drive is as stable as any other suspension system on the market in any other brand. Owner GT Sanction 1.0 and I drive 5 09'
