Generally speaking alarm systems use an entry delay, that is the door closest to the main alarm keypad is set as a delay zone which triggers a countdown when activated (usually 45-120 seconds) which allows a home owner time to get to the alarm keypad and disarm the alarm system. If your system instantly goes into alarm when you enter then you need to reprogram it (or get honneywell to) so that you have enough time to enter your code before the siren activates.
