I know that if the branch pipe diameter is less that half the diameter of the main pipe , then we will use welding if the branch pipe diameter is more that half the diameter of the main pipe , then we will use fittings.I need to convince the consultant but i don't have any proof or code !!!!please help even with the direction , thanks

Spiders, not that's not a joke. Spiders like to get into smoke alarms and if they get in the way of the sensor it goes off. This has happened to me on numerous occasions. Smoke alarm goes off in the middle of the night, run out of the bedroom to check on it and it shuts off. Go back to bed, just falling back to sleep and it goes off again. Happens every 6 months or so and it's annoying as hell.
